Adrian Halpern Bio

“My art morphs different mediums into visual meditations and dream like imageries. Creating is therapeutic, a form of alternative medicine for me.”

Adrian Halpern has been interested in art since he took his first art class at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, MO. at the age of 6 where he was selected to display his artwork. Adrian uses a variety of disciplines ranging from highly detailed ink drawings, video, digital art, laser cutting, screen printing, mixed media and collage works to name a few. Currently, his career is reaching 100 art shows. For example of his recent public art showings, in 2024 he had his third solo show at Golden Stag Tattoo & Gallery in Kansas City, MO. He had a solo show at the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center in 2023. He received an award to showcase a 10 min video projection loop at the Redmond Lights 2023 Festival, Buoyant Pavilion in Redmond, Wa. Halpern received a grant from the Charlotte Street Foundation’s, Prodolab series where he was the lead curator to create and collaborate a live performance. In late August-September 2024, Adrian has shown a collaboration video he created and produced the music at the CICA (Czong Institute for Contemporary Art) in Gimpo, Korea. He was accepted to the Experimental Animation & Video Art program at WAVEFORMS 2024 in Fort Point, Boston. This one hour video showcase was presented by The Museum of Science Boston. Adrian Halpern is a public artist that has shown his creations for over 25 years. He continues his growth and love for the arts with his collaborations with musicians and other artists. He hopes to continue exploring different multimedia environments with visuals and sounds.

Rich ‘JKR70’ Lester Bio

Rich ‘JKR70’ Lester is a Kansas City, MO. based artist and a self-taught music producer of over 25 years. He has produced 7 solo projects as JKR70 and 6 projects under the moniker Human CropCircles. He has a deep love of music, drawing, video, poetry, and collaboration. Rich has worked with local, national, and international artists such as Sage Francis, MilkDrop, Romy of Macromantics, Cas One, Sike Style Industries, Son of Saturn, Clay Hughes, Ces Cru, MK12, and Flavor Pak Brand. He has appeared on radio shows including The Black Steel Brothers (KKFI), Artspeak Radio (KKFI) and the podcast Neandertalk. Rich ‘JKR70’ Lester has shown his artwork at the George R. Schlegel Gallery in Roeland Park City Hall and local venues. He collaborated on three solo art shows and one ProdoLAB series at Charlotte Street Foundation with local artist Adrian Halpern. Under Halpern’s curation, Rich showcased a sound installation at The Leedy-Voulkos Art Center Underground 2 Gallery and created music for several video animations for Halpern’s Golden Stag Tattoo & Gallery solo shows. With numerous music tracks, remixes and video works, Rich ‘JKR70’ Lester has proven to be a versatile force with his creativity and within the public art community.
